Preparing Images for Digital Projection Competitions
The digital projector and software used by the club require that images are in '.jpg' format
and MUST fit within a rectangle which is 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high. A black border is
applied to images smaller than this. Advice is available from members on how to use image editing
software to achieve this (See Club
Competition Rules
for details).
All artistic manipulation of the image must be the photographers own work.
Image files may be entered on CD, DVD, memory stick, or by Email (preferably without viruses). File names MUST be in a specific format:-
TITLE by Photographer.jpg
where
- TITLE
- is the image title, in upper case including blanks,
- by
- is the word 'by' in lower case with one blank on either side,
- Photographer
- is the photographers name in mixed case.
Example: HALF DOME by Ansel Adams.jpg
The club equipment has had colour profiles applied to achieve 'correct' projection when using the Adobe RGB 1998 colourspace. Image colour may differ from that shown by the photgraphers own equipment, if this has not had profiles applied.
